Martin y Pablo “Gran Faso” llevan adelante juntos este y otros proyectos musicales.

Aqui va un tema del disco proximo a editar, una version de los mejores Specials, para los que resisten en la Buenos Aires Fantasma post cromagnon, en la que el ocio nocturno ha quedado en manos de muy pocos dueños de boliches.

It’s some sad days in Mexico were the swine flu is killing the younger and stronger people of the country. While the government try to prevent the flu propagation by telling to the population to avoid large crowds (witch, I think, it is impossible in the huge city of Mexico), there’s that group, Agrupacion Cariño, who was listening to the news and create the cumbia de la influenza. It’s not the best cumbia in the world but, for sure, it give some humor despite the situation.

Un año ha pasado ya de la presentacion en Londres de El Frente Cumbiero, junto a Very Be Careful Un proyecto llevado adelante por el musico colombiano Mario Galeano Toro, con el colaboramos investigando sobre cultura cumbiera latinoamericana.

I was listening to his recent mix for Sinden when suddenly a chat comes in — El Hijo de la Cumbia & Toy are labbed up in Monterrey working on music! hola homie… All of this, in the long run, means fuego. k padre. k chido, etc.

Gravity’s Ra1nbow ups the Toy mix (“les ahorramos la entrevista y el acento regio”), plus a nice poster.

Funny thing,

this morning, I was chatting with one of my old friend who wrote on his facebook status to download and listen to Zizek latest mixtape, the one with Douster. The funny thing is that I’m spamming all my friends with my musical taste and news I was quite happy to see that he discover something that he like!!!

This friend, I was not seeing him since a couple of year. The only place I’m seeing him is actually in every Wu Tang Clan concert!

Mostly ‘raverton’ edits (raverton = a pretty viable one-man bid for a new genre) of sped-up chopped up hipsta hits. Feist, Cafe Tacuba, Lil Wayne, Justice, etc. Covering all the bases, yes, but in a weird, fast, reggaeton-bmore-club sauce straight from the global (Via Monterrey, MX) bloggy gift economy.
